D&D 5E How to use statblock 5e Web Component?

I've been seeing some great fan creations using a Photoshop template similar to the 5e Monster Manual's style.

You can check out the Reddit page here for the info and links: https://www.reddit.com/r/DnD/comments/2x8u77/5e_tried_to_recreate_the_monster_manuals_style/

I've wanted to give this a go, and the graphics editing is no problem for me, however the use of a Web Component is something entirely new!

The 5e statblock web component is here: http://valloric.github.io/statblock5e/

I'm using Google Chrome on OS X, and I've never used a Web Component before, so I'm completely in the dark about how to use this component. I feel like the instructions are for someone who already knows what they're doing when it comes to programming, but I'm not a programmer nor do I play one on messageboards.

This is implemented as a set of custom elements following the Web Components specs: HTML Imports, Custom Elements, Shadow DOM and the HTML5 template element.
Are these requirements I need to install before using the Web Component?

I've got the .zip file downloaded (see my attached pic below), but even the README is a Unix Executable File which my computer won't run because it doesn't have the required application.

I suspect this is a Mac OS X issue, but maybe there's something I'm missing?

Any help?
