Orcus Vs Strahd plot help

So Im starting to put this together as a high level planar campaign merging Dead Gods with Savage tide stuff. Starting at level 10

Strahd is on Faerun up to his own stuff aparently, but the party starts to notice Ravenloft like happenings and suspects him.

They investigate and discover that Demogorgon is using Strahd to try to turn Faurun into an abyssal layer (Thanks Dausuul).

In order to disrupt the decades long ritual that demogorgon is running in the abyss and prevent this, they need to find a mode of planar travel--some sort of planar ship

Then travel the planes and recover the Wand of Orcus, then on to the abyss to confront Demogorgon and end the ritual.

Then somehow make Strahd to have orchestrated all this and have the party confront him at super high level in Barovia.

Should be done in a session or two.

Input appreciated.

How did Strahd escape Barovia.

Raven Queen is angry because Vecna has manipulated Strand against Orcus. Maybe Strahd has found a way to gather together his loved Taytana but now Orcus is his worst obstacle. Worst if now appear the reincarnation? or clone of his younger brother Sergei. And PCs could find a second demiplane where Sergei was the big brother who become lord vampire (somebody was tricked by a genie when asked a magic wish). This layer of demiplane is ruled by the lictors, a secret kindred of (fat with metalic tentacles) dark feys, but really they are the tricked prisoners and the reason the demiplane was created as prison, and now a zombie apocalypse starts. The vampires are now allied with the living humanoids and the werebeasts are the new warlords because they can't be infected by the zombie bit but they can eat the walking deads and these are literally their breakfast every morning.

How did Strahd escape Barovia.

Based on the actions of the party in the first part of my campaign.
Strahd played them the whole time, with the intetent of being freed from the demiplane. He used a vistani effigy (as in DCA) and planned on leaving Barovia with them, at which point vistani assests in Faerun would seize the puppet and free him.
Alas one of my players threw me a curveball at the climax, he declared that he was staying in barovia and ruling it. I figured Strahd, being a genius, would have anticipated this and was able to use a flawed ritual performed on the puppet by a PC to still escape Barovia, although as an incorporeal form.
