Non Lethal Damage?

I believe I read on a board somewhere that PC's can convert any of their attacks (or something similar) to non lethal in 4th. However, I can't find this in the books anywhere. Does anyone know is there such a rule? And where is it?

Thanks for any help.

There is no non lethal damage, when you kill an creature (drop it below 0) you chose if its dead or unconsciouss, its on the death and dying page..

Yeah, the PCs can burn, freeze, stab, slice, bludgeon, pierce with arrows any creature they want and only at the last moment decide if all of that damage that rendered the monster to 0 is lethal or not . ;)

It's completely logical if you compare it to 3.5. The same thing happened except you didn't know exactly when they were going down.

Rogue with a Sap sneak-attacking while everyone else is in Total Defense...

I like the new method better.
