D&D 4e PDFs at RPGNow

*sigh*

This:
Is not my definition of reasonable. I will not pay full price for a PDF. The 'sale' price almost makes them worth it. Too bad it's not about $5.00 less.

That might not be a sale price. A lot of the publishers put the cover price crossed off with the PDF price underneath.

In either case, the current price is comparable to Amazon prices.

Still too much, IMO. $20 would be the absolute max I'd consider paying. $10-$15 is much more realistic.

I could care less if the price is comparable to Amazon, the product is not comparable to a book in my hands.

Same here - for 20 $ - sure. For 25$? That's the same price as my gift set.

Perhaps later. Plus, I'm waiting for the updated version of the files.

Cheers, LT.

I will wait until I see a set up updatred files, or someone tells me that the WOTC PDFs are updated with the official errata as well as some new fixes.

Personally, I find a searchable PDF far more useful than a physical book, especially if they get errata fixes in a timely manner.

Didn't the Rouse say last year that the plan was that people who bought physical 4e D&D books could buy a DDI pdf version for something like the cost of a cup of coffee (remembering that he works in Seattle:))?

I don't remember any follow up contradicting that other than the complete absence of DDI.

Indeed. Not to mention far more portable - I am more likely to use a system I don't need to carry half a dozen hardcovers back and forth if we game away from my flat.
