Pathfinder 1E An SRD for Pathfinder?

Probably because he's more interested in whether there will be the ability/incentive for other parties to support the game.

Yes.

While it aims to be 3.5 compatible, sooner or later if the game is successful, I'm sure it will move in its own direction, adding elements not found in the original 3.5 SRD.

While they've already said there'll be a compatibility license and logo, I wouldn't have thought there'd be a Pathfinder SRD. After all, they can just tag the main rulebook as being largely OGC, and that'd put out what rules are open, letting third-parties design compatible material with that. An SRD seems redundant.

Having an official Paizo-written RTF SRD like WotC made would be redundant, I agree. But getting the rules in a nicely organized hypertext form, like available for 3.5, will be immensely useful.

Edit: Of course, as pointed out above, someone will probably do that very quickly. :)

Creating new content for Pathfinder

Because I am working on Kaidan: Japanese Ghost Story campaign setting, intended for publication as Pathfinder Compatible. I am already working with Dementia 5, one of the recipients of the PFRPG compatibility license, that's a definite yes.

Because it is a feudal Japan based setting, and that both Oriental Adventures and Rokugan d20 are not Open Content, I am having to create a complete Japan-based ruleset - much of it will be OGC, except for setting specific issues.

Since OA Rokugan has seven samurai variants based on the seven great clans of Rokugan, following in their footsteps, my setting has fifteen samurai martial houses and thus fifteen samurai variants. I am also adding classes that were considered NPC classes in OA, some classes will be dropped including Wujen (replaced by Onmyodo Wizards).

I am also getting top quality cover art and illustrations for the publication. One artist is Mark Hyzer, illustrator for several WotC MtG cards - so I have some illustrators with renown.

So 3rd party publishers are already creating new content for Pathfinder.
