Darren Aronofsky to remake Robocop

#2 was good, IMHO, perfectly cynical, lol.

#2 was brilliant cinema, the visuals were outstanding.

I'm sick to death of re-makes, MAKE NEW STUFF HOLLYWOOD OR GO BROKE!!
They are supposed to be about creativity, if they are not creative, Hollywood should die out, and let some new power house of cinema merge who give a hoot about making good films.
grrr. Corporate suits etc have ruined US film making :(

Alien 3 is under-rated in my opinion, and a perfect dark ending to the series.

Sorry for the hijack. . . As for a Robocop sequel/reimagining that ignores #2 and 3 - well, "I'd buy that for a dollar!" ;)
Yes, most people think that Alien 3 is merely bad, when really it is horrible! :p I never even bothered with 4, 3 killed the series for me.

Robo Cop 2 was not terrible, picking up the series and ignoring RC 3 would not be bad. Gods know that Highlander has ignored enough movies in the series to rate a boxed set....

The Auld Grump, who actually plans on seeing Lost Boys 2....

I still think it's kind of funny how Robocop almost got an NC-17 rating, but they cut back some of the violence and got an R rating instead. The original movie was not marketted to kids...

Then a couple years later, not only do they make a Robocop cartoon, but they make Robocop toys for kids. How does that happen?
