I just went to add a pdf of monsters and stuff I made for my 4E campaign, but I can't find any button anywhere that says 'add entry' :(

So maybe it's permissions, or maybe I'm blind, or maybe it's something else.

There was indeed a permissions problem -- I believe I just now fixed it, and I did a couple of tests just now.

Give it another whirl, if you could, and let me know! Thanks!

Working now, thanks. You have to go into a section first, then click the 'add' link, rather than the other way around, but that's ok.

By the way, are .tif files meant to be capped at 2 gigabytes each? Just wondering. . .

Using the new Sam Beckett Quantum Retrieval System, we're NOW able to store files of ANY size. Next month, we're alpha-testing storage of the entire Internet within the Internet within the Internet within the Internet. :)

I'll check it out - Thanks! I have a feeling some of those prob. aren't tweaked yet.

EDIT: I just set the maximum TIF size to 63 Megabytes, which is just below the max size for a single post. While still far better than 2 GIGABYTES, I'd still ask users to use common sense and their best judgement when uploading large files, considering download speeds of others, stress on a server, and all that.

Yeah :( I had to put up my pdf in a zip file because while the zip size was plenty big, the pdf was really small!

Either way, the good news is I was able to put it up.

EDIT: Are there any statistics or a rating system, like to see how many people have downloaded a given file, and what the people thought of the file? Maybe a comment system? Or each download automatically gets its own thread in a downloads forum or something?

One quick note, guys and gals:

PLEASE DON'T GO UPLOADING A BUNCH OF STUFF THAT YOU"RE PRETTY SURE WILL GET US IN COPYRIGHT TROUBLE!

as an example, 4e feat lists are one thing: Feat CATALOGUES that reproduce whole sections of the PHB feats including prereq's and mechanics is a no-no! Please guys, don't make our work HARDER by trying to add more functionality to the site. New monsters, cool; new adventures, cool; new feats, weapons, your take on barbarians, etc. are cool; sticking up PDFS of the PHB or similar -

NOT COOL. I shouldn't need to tell anyone this.

Thanks.

I added a couple of things related to H1. I'm pretty sure the char sheets should be OK (since they are also available on wizards.com)... the magic items, maybe not OK.

It would be nice if we had the fan site policy. :-/

I took a brief look, and they looked OK to me.

What I'd LOVE to see if I can popularize it a bit more is to get some of that awesome fan work over on the Fan creation board uploaded here. Legally, I'm tempted to pull some of that and upload the stuff that's already attached to posts on our server. Ethically, I'd rather the people who made it did it, because I dislike manipulating other people's stuff, rights or not.

Seconded. :(

It's there, in the middle (and it's a different color than the rest of the links). I just uploaded my horse tokens PDF file to confirm that it's working.

Wasn't there a bunch of old great conversion docs somewhere?
