State of the Revised GSL?

I was just reading Adamants thread

Adamant Entertainment: State of Play and it got me wondering where is WoTC at with the revised GSL. We were told that it would be soon (although they rightfully didn't give a timeline). Well, it's been a little while now, and with the other topics that have been prominent here at ENWorld lately, I felt like we had collectively forgotten about this a bit.

Does anyone know anything new or has there been any news from WoTC about when the revised GSL could be expected? Have 3pp received any info or updates from WoTC? I'm hoping that we haven't forgotten about it just because of WoTC stated intention of revising the GSL (or that WoTC hoped for that very thing:blush:).

Curious minds want to know.

I don't know about other 3PP's, but Dreamscarred Press hasn't heard anything yet and I expect it will be officially announced rather than "leaked" to 3PPs.

Scott Rouse posted tis on the WoTC boards:

It has not been shelved. It's sitting right here on my desk next to the bazillion other things I've got going on right now. I haven't been on the boards in a while (weeks?) so I have not been aware of what was going on.

The draft is done. The changes are approved and it just needs to get pushed to a final document. But there is still work to do. Since Lidda is gone I am taking on myself (as well as a bunch of other licensing duties) plus my day to day so as you can imagine I am slammed.

So what's left?

As an outcome of one of the changes we made we need to create a "statement of rejection" form that will be an official opt out of the license upon a revision. It will look a lot like the SOA.

We also need clear up some things on the SRD and in the FAQ. Lidda left me a draft of the FAQ but I have not looked at it yet and I have not met with R&D to discuss the changes/clarifications to the SRD.

Realistically, looking at my work load this is still weeks off being done.

Thanks Scribble. I don't frequent the WoTC boards, so I would have never seen that. Scotts rather succinct post over on the References to Barbarian playtest vanished? thread makes a little more sense now (and his absence from the boards). I feel for him with the loss of Linae. It sounds like he's taking a lot of hits from both sides. I hope I haven't posted anything that's made things unduly tough for him. If so, I sincerely apologize Scott.

I would guess at this point we can expect the new GSL shorlty after the first licensed 4e products hit the shelves.

The Rouse is wearing many hats these days, more then he has been in the past.

Still a damn shame what happened with Lidda :(
