I'm going to have to go with an initial "Meh."
The long-rumored sequel? That I'd have loved to see, and it could've been done in such a way as to make it accessible even to people who hadn't seen the original.
But a remake? Unless the advanced press is overwhelmingly positive, count me right out, thanks.
