I don't own a nerd shirt...and if I did, I'm pretty sure my wife would have destroyed it by now. She has all of these "rules" about what I can and cannot wear in public...

Anyway. Here is a cell phone self-portrait. That's pretty nerdy, in and of itself. (Heck, it might even be MySpacey.)

Mykele and I were sitting at the table at our local knitting meetup when another member started talking about her favorite Star Trek episoded. She said,"You must think I'm the biggest nerd ever." We said,"You're sitting at a table with two women who play DnD three nights a week. I think you have some competition for the title."
 

Isn't it more fun for people to discover your nerdiness/geekiness during socializing than to announce it right up front?

One time I admitted I was a nerd in front of my wife, and she said she never thought of me as a nerd. "I always thought nerds were smart," she said.

My stunned look in response prompted her to clarify: "I mean, like super smart."

So I can't wear a "NERD" shirt. I'm not qualified.
