November Editorial Calendar

Not necessarily, there are Dragon articles that don't need a subscription to see. It is quite likely I think that this would be the case with the RPGA one.

I thought the articles that didn't need a subscription to see are the ones marked "Free" on the editorial calendar, which the RPGA article is not among. Are there articles not marked "Free" on the editorial calendar that don't require a subscription to see?

Is there *nothing* about the DDI that you won't take a moment to criticise?

Since I like the idea behind it so much and see nothing of use form it, I think that explaining those shortcomings can only make it better to what it should be like for a great service, since there is no other legal choice for D&D software, and all prior form WotC was pretty much better than anything from DDI so far.

Etools and the CD from the PHB worked for what they were supposed to do.

I think it is misleading to say a free article is only able to be found in the Dragon that may force some to think they must subscribe to view it for the RPGA that require NO cost to participate in, or didn't.

Also there could have been some story or something like Pyre placed into the CMS to give people something for D&D for the holiday.

How about Thanksgiving recipes for Roast Cockatrice, with Gelatinous Cubes for dessert?

Milk the holidays. Not everyone goes to visit big families so give those left at home that cannot or have none to visit something on the holiday.

The computer won't mind unless the servers are turned off for that day.

Yup. The non-crunch articles, basically.

Yup, like:

DRA: Confessions of a Full-Time Sorceress

Man, I wish I didn't have to wait until Sunday night to see the Table of Contents, as I want some details now. At this point, I have to say that I'm most looking forward to the "Playing Minotaurs," "Demonomicon," (who will it be) "Class Acts: Warlord," and the "Creature Incarnations" (again, who will it be) articles. I'm curious about "Io'vanthor and Dragonslayers and assume they will be tied to the release of the Draconomicon.

Seems the RPGA has gone to an organization only for DDI subscribers. Think I will pass on any and all future RPGA related events.
The RPGA reports were usually part of Polyhedron (and later in Dungeon and maybe Dragon after Polyhedron's demise). Paizo was still charging for the magazine at that time.

I wonder what happened to Mearls' "Designing Skill Challenges" article. It was listed as part of October's Dragon, and didn't appear (yet) and seems to not be on Novemeber's schedule.

Edit: Oops, it is on Nov's schedule for the 7th.

This whole RPGA report thing is a tempest in a teapot. Even though they also in Dragon, they're free content which can also be accessed from the RPGA tab.

Free just seems to mean it's on the wizards page, and not one of the mags. Some of the articles in the mags are free as well.

I think the editorials..

Not sure if there are others or not.

Looks like a good list to me. The only real issue I have with it at this point is that I think we need more than one class acts article per month. 3 or so would be good for me, but 1 seems light.
