D&D Insider is constantly down!

I'm not having any issues accessing the site right now. I did notice that they replaced the temp cover art (it was from Dragon 303) for a new portrait of a minotaur cabalist.

Scott,

Could you post the contact info for CS? Normally I would go to the Wizards site to get the contact info, but since the site is down I have no way to get the contact info to report that the site is down.

It's kinda like that number the phone company gives to call if your phone doesn't work. :)

To email CS try here. Click on the email us tab. Please note this goes through a web based system tied to your D&Di login account. If it does not work you'll have to pick up the phone (see below)

Call us at 1-800-324-6496 if in the US or Canada. Call us at 425-204-8069 if you are outside of North America. Our Customer Service contact center is available to handle your phone call or email

Jeffery,

Please contact customer service as I suspect there is a solution to this.

Thanks for the response Scott. I have a Macbook running the same version of Firefox as you. Doesn't seem to be a browser issue though (I work Tech Support at Network Solutions where you guys have all your domains registered). I'll try customer service and see what they say. Thanks!

Color me unsurprised that a WOTC web service crashes often. They can rarely keep their boards from crashing. I am not sure why they do not have a backup server so that they can keep running while the main server is being upgraded.

Its a new service and they are just getting everything all ironed out so cut them some slack. I sent an email to customer service. We'll see what happens. I'll report back then.

I find it ironic that you're asking someone to cut them some slack but talking about cancelling your subscription. ;)

And no, you're not alone. I posted a few days ago that I was having problems logging on.

And also posted I wonder what WoTC will do about those down sessions.

Here one day, gone the next

So I decided to purchase a 12 month subscription yesterday and managed to enjoy it for a whole day. When I try to log in today, DDI tells me that my account doesn't exist!

Way to go, Wizards! This is not a quality service. You shouldn't be ironing out problems once you've started to charge people. That's utterly unprofessional.

Did you contact customer service? I had heard that sometimes the authentication issue was browser based, but I could be wrong. i.e. the session cookie may not be stored correctly.
