Can you say Bond, James Bond, the boxoffice did! It has been out overseas for a little while but WOW, look at those numbers!

Domestic: $70,400,000 (21.9%) + Foreign: $251,600,000 (78.1%) = Worldwide: $322,000,000

I'm willing to bet though that Bond only has 1 week at number 1. Next week is Twilight and the tween/teenage girl market shouldn't be underestimated.

Twlight strikes me along the lines of The Covenant which only had a weekend opening of $8,852,458, so, I figure up to 14 Million because of book value.

Now BOLT, which also opens this weekend should take the number one spot, family animation!

Bond will drop 60% being in the 25 million range but that should be enought to make it number 2.

That is what us guys see. The Twilight books have become a huge thing in the young female market. Guys see vampires, girls see romance novel. This is not a guy movie, this is a love story which if done right could go Titanic (probably not as big but still outperform expectations greatly).

I agree that we will see Bolt at #1 next week and figure it for about a 35 mil opener. I'd look for Solace to run a close second and Twilight to be a close third, both in the upper 20s. They really do hit three different audiences that might otherwise overlap only a little.

Looks like we've got some folks here who are unaware how tremendoulsy popular the Twilight series is. Blissfully unaware.

I sure hope it flops. If these images actually link up properly, take a look at the two lead actors. There's little more irritating than poseurs who clearly have an entire team of stylists dedicated to making their hair look like they just got out of bed.

As I said, don't underestimate the tween/teen girl market.
