D&D Miniatures 2009 - a question

I just read the Ampersand article, and was intrigued. Does this mean the D&D Miniatures line is being developed to be used with the skirmish rules, or strictly for 4E D&D on the tabletop?

Cheers,
Daniel

The skirmish game is no longer supported by WotC (starting in January, I believe). The DDM Guild has taken over, mostly run by the people behind Hordelings and Johnny Quest. There are several announcements on the WotC site, and discussion on both hordelings and gleemax about it.

You have to be a subscriber to get information on that skirmish game that WotC no longer supports but is licensed to another group to supprot?

This is why DDI fails as information is hidden behind a firewall that should not be!

No. Being a subscriber lets you see a preview of two RPG stat cards from the new minis release.

All the information on the changes to the skirmish game is available to anyone here, here and here. There is no WotC conspiracy to hide that from you.

None of those links are Ampersand articles. I cannot read the Ampersand articles as a non-subscriber. There is a disconnect of information here. :-S

Not really, the Ampersand doesn't tell us anything new about the minis that is not already freely available. Its just a preview of two of the miniatures and their 4e stat cards.

AH! I get it now. :)
So even though you didn't understand the situation, you used it as an excuse to complain about DDI?

...:hmm:

:hmm: The OP stated that after reading an Ampersand he questioned what was going to happen to DDM. How can I know what is in the Ampersands. Seems a lot fo stuff is getting hidden in them when they were supposed to be the free thing for DDI for non-subscribers. Like an ultra mini mag for those not getting Dungeon or Dragon. Now even the info on the layoff and reorganization is in an Ampersand where it should not be behind a firewall. If you cannot see the problem in that only "insiders" get REAL info about D&D then I don't know what to tell you.
