4e Combat Playtest [FULL]

Time to test the War Wizardry feat? I think Koz pulled an Azer and a Hound to Q9 and Q10. You could hit all the baddies but Koz and Feather will be caught too. But I think he has some cold resistance.

Yeah, both he and Feather will take 10 off the attack which does half damage. And everyone in the area gets concealment. This penalty doesn't bother Kozaar much, since so much of his stuff is close attacks.

I think Graf used that before me. And I've definitely seen other people do it, just not all the time (like only when someone is really late).
Is the thread not staying highlighted for other people, btw?
Well, you have plenty of encounter and at will powers to use too.
Most of your dailies aren't really a replacement for your other powers - they're somewhat situational. Let's take a look:
Victorious Surge and Relentless Assailant have pretty much the same function: they're powers that attack and can heal you at the same time. These powers are great when A) you're seriously injured and B) when we're out of per encounter heals (or near enough).
Carve Initials is some single target damage and an unbreakable mark. So if we really need someone to stick to you or if you need the extra damage from a daily power but not healing, then this is good.
Linebreaker Assault gives you Resist/All for a turn. So it's good when you expect several enemies to be attacking you. It's not good when you're spending an AP or if you've used Blood Iron - because then you'd already have more DR.
So deciding when to use your dailies shouldn't be all that hard.
Thanks for the advice, Victim!

And I still give partial credit to Atanatotatos for the thread title thingy, because he's the first one that I've seen use it. :p

Pheeeww, done. Dunno how long it took to do this update. Kozaar's action had crazy effects. Don't blame me if I didn't get it all right, guys. I tried, but it's a mess.
(enjoying it nonetheless)

Winter's Wrath, on the cold vulnerable guys. And she has Wintertouched.

Ewww...you're freezing all my puppies!

Hey guys with regard to Healing Word and the like I am going to try to be pretty conservative since we are apparently a little light on healing surges as a group. Especially since Brudd's Healing Words heal 5d6+5 above your healing surges which are all in the late twenties to early thirties range. Brudd also has

However if you feel you need healing feel free to call upon Brudd to provide it and he will. :D

Eiran's been lucky so far, only getting a little crispy. He lucked out with his shield spell saving him from most of the Fire Archon Ash Disciple's and Fire Giant Forgecaller's attacks. And now with Sharm marking the Goristro and Kozaar practically marking everything else, I'm not as worried about Eiran drawing undue attention. Even the Rockfire Dreadnought seems pretty preoccupied with Brudd and Devastation.

Hopefully, once some of these elementals start going down, we can all begin concentrating fire on the same stuff.

Sounds like a plan to me Annalist, its just getting through the honking great hp totals of these bad guys that is going to take time.

True, but on the bright side, one of the Archons and both Azers are already bloodied. And it's only the end of the first round. So I think we're doing okay so far. :)
