Huh? How is a pull a killing affect? It doesn't cause OAs. And unless you start your turn in a hazardous area, I dont' think you'd take damage from passing through a hazardous area.

Any area with precipices, pits and such like... pull 3 is a lot of movement, and it wouldn't take much to get into a position where you can make a pull put someone into a pit.

There is also the strangeness about Luring Glamour attracting undead, oozes and so forth (although I daresay many people would be happy to handwave that as a non issue)

Cheers

"Oh look Mr Vampire! Look how beautiful I am! You see how soft my skin is? Yes, Mr Ooze, I do smell this good."

Stuff like that ;)

Also, most zone powers say that creatures that start their turn or enter the zone are affected, so you can lure enemies into a damaging area... though the rules about terrain are never clear to me (sometimes you can make a save - like, when being dragged over a pit -, or you're forced to make a skill check - to balance over icy terrain, for ex.). I'd need my books with me to make sure...

You could say the same about a push. Or a slide.

Well, one can sleep an undead/ooze. You can knock prone a swarm. Immobilize, stun or daze an ooze. Etc.

I was thinking of the psychic damage...?
1d6+Cha or whatever isn't going to kill anybody unless they're a minion. Psychic damage is just like any other keyword damage type. Eyebite (Warlock At-Will) does it, for example.

Actually, most of the Fey Warlock powers do psychic damage.

Enter it, but I don't think forced movement qualifies.

For instance, let's say you use stinking cloud, and you move it 6 squares. One of those squares is through your ally. Does your ally take damage because you moved the effect through him? No.

i can understand where you are coming from but i run an eladrin fighter and the teleport power has come in extremely handy when a squishy is surrounded, keep in mind that any other movement cound possible be limited as an effect from certain attacks

Well, exactly.

You wanted to know how your proposed luring glare racial power was a killing effect. CapnZap pointed out that it does damage, I pointed out that pull can force people over dangerous terrain or off precipices.

Both are ways that your proposed power is a 'killing effect'. Don't you think it is a bit wierd if your eladrin are so fey'ly attractive that they can kill minions with their presence  Or did you really like the 1e Nymph? ;)

Cheers!

Nope. I don't find that weird. After all, dragonborn get a nice AREA AFFECT on a minor action for their racial. That can kill several minions in one go. The Eladrin's teleport can get them out of grapple, or move them completely out of combat. The Fire genasi get an immediate reaction attack, which could clearly kill minions. I'd say that's pretty keen for a racial power. So a pull or push effect is on par.

But then, you're the guy who finds the feystep weird. So I think we're just on different playing fields when it comes to what's weird to us. :)

Besides, I don't necessarily see the Luring Glamour as just being 'attractive'. It's more like the ye olde 'Come to me...' that Dracula does with his eyes. It's a temporary compulsion.

Fair enough!

(although I wasn't querying the idea of a racial power killing minions, it was more the issue of the fey luring glamour minions - and FWIW in my current campaign dragonborn don't start off with a minion killing breath weapon... rather they start off with resistance to either fire, cold, acid or lightning as per tieflings. Breath weapon is a paragon feat in this campaign. )

OK, that makes your vision of it clearer
