DDI: does it not support Firefox?

WizarDru

Adventurer
I signed up for the DDI earlier this week and it seemed to work OK when I wanted to browse the Warden article or use the Compendium...but when I went to open an adventure in Dungeon or download the PDF of the issue, I got a pop-up saying I needed to be a DDI subscriber. Since I AM, that was a tad upsetting.

After spending several minutes trying to navigate the DDI's terrible help interface, it occurred to me to try IE7, instead of FF3. I did so, and the PDF opened with no problems and I could now browse all the current articles. Is Firefox not supported for the DDI or are there setting changes I need to make?

Has anyone tried using Chrome with the DDI?

I use Camino on my Mac, which is based on the FF code-base, and I never have a problem. Are you accepting cookies from WotC?

I am. It works for parts of the site, but not others. I'll have to test it here at home on Chrome and Firefox and see how it does.

Are you accepting cookies from all sites, or are you using a white-list? If the latter, it's possible that the parts that aren't working might have an address other than wizards.com, and thus aren't utilizing cookies. If possible, when the page is loading, look at the status bar to see if you see any other domains.

It works better for me in Firefox than in IE (and I use FF almost exclusively at this point).

Ditto...except for entries in the Compendium. I don't have a print option in Firefox when I bring up an entry (such as a monster) I want to print, but do in IE.

Still, Firefox works pretty good. I do have to relogin periodically, due to their very short time frame on their cookies.

Odd, now it works fine for me. Not sure why, but it kept losing my log-in informatin and was giving me problems opening PDFs for a bit. The next day, it worked fine.

Go figure. [shrug]
