Pathfinder 1E Free RPG Day Swag - Eberron, Pathfinder Bestiary, Geist RPG

I hope a retailer near me actually participates this year.

Seriously, start talking to them to let them know about it and tell them you are interested. Even offer to help them participate (run a game, etc). I made sure both FLGS in my area knew about them from the first one. They have been active participates since then.

Shame we won't be getting any of this down in our little corner of the world.
:(

I'd really like to get a copy of the Rogue Trader preview adventure from FFG...

...I know how much the Paizo crew hate the new edition (I especially get that feeling from Mr. Jacobs).

I think that 'hate' is way too strong a word, way too strong. JJ, I would say, just doesn't like playing it. Which is fair enough.

Arguably, 4e and the manner of its release (Dragon and Dungeon back to WotC, GSL delay, nature of that first GSL) have opened up a huge opportunity to Paizo, so I would say that they might actually be pretty grateful with all that. As for not liking the game, there are plenty of people that like it and plenty of people that don't (as we have seen all over the internet) but I don't think that 'hate' is enough.

Regarding the OP (I am late to see this) I am very bitter that there's no FLGS really near here at all that'll have th stuff (as I really want some of it, particularly the Bestiary supplement). I am tempted to drive to Rochester that day, but that's over two hours away...

"Hate" is indeed way too strong a word. I do not hate 4th edition, but I don't care for it. I much prefer 3.5-based rules, and am quite proud of and pleased with how the Pathfinder RPG is shaping up.

In any case, don't feel weird about converting Pathfinder content to the system of your choice for your home games; be that system 4th edition, GURPS, Call of Cthulhu, True20, C&C, or whatever. That's part of the fun, after all!

Does anyone know if the same event will be scheduled for the UK (not necessarily on the same day)?
From the website:
Retailers in the United States will receive their shipment from Impressions direct, while retailers outside the United States can either order through their favorite hobby game distributor (to be shipped through that distributor's freight forwarder), or purchase from us directly with their own U.S. freight forwarder.

It looks like it's not restricted to just US stores, although shipping costs may be prohibitive.

I am tempted to drive to Rochester that day, but that's over two hours away...
Which Rochester? I'm still thinking about it for my store...

I already want to convert a few creatures from the Pathfinder books I got before I switched to 4E. The thing is, and I know this is silly, I feel weird trying to convert cool creatures like the Reefclaw to 4E because I know how much the Paizo crew hate the new edition (I especially get that feeling from Mr. Jacobs).

We fully endorse conversion of material between editions. If you want to use our stuff for 4th Edition, more power to you!

We don't "hate" the new edition, we just prefer a different style of play. Lots and lots of players convert our material to many different systems. As long as you get enjoyment out of your Pathfinder purchase (or in this case, freebie), that's good enough for us!
