New Year's Resolutions for 2009?

There are always exceptions to the rule. Someone that expects weight gain like that may handle it better than some that see it go up a pound or two and get depressed.

I actually accomplished my first New Years Resolution. One resolution was to post a game-related blog entry every day in January... done!

Now on to February, and finishing an "Ecology" article.

Its a bit late, but...

I hereby resolve to never again participate in any online thread dealing with piracy of intellectual property.

Despite my expertise- I'm an Entertainment Lawyer of several years experience- I can't convince anyone to change their ways, and the only thing I succeed in doing is raising my blood pressure.

Arguing on the internet is like arguing with idiots, they drag you down to thier level and beat you with experience...

I'm doing great on the exercise part of my resolution (22 days in a row so far!). I'm doing so-so with my diet resolution. I'm doing poorly with my D&D-related resolution (I'm having trouble coming up with stuff for my current campaign and that's making me want to quit instead of try harder). I'm doing so-so with other items on my list. The exercise one was my most important one - resisting the urge to hibernate during Jan and Feb is really important to my mental health in wintertime.

Kinda forgot about this thread!

Anyway, my resolutions really are just for the toughest two months of the year (Jan and Feb) and the above summary really does apply to the whole two months. As is strangely typical, my exercise level has fallen off in March and April, but as soon as I wrestle this lingering cold to the ground I will get back on the exercise wagon.

I'm really avoiding D&D stuff recently ... I have cancelled sessions, I am not doing my "homework" and I was only relieved when it turned out that there were two straight months where no one's calendars were lining up. Don't know what I'm going to do about that ...

Hmm resolution feedback:

Hiking averaging 2 - 3 2 hour walks a month, so not too shabby. Really enjoying it aswell. Which helps.

Made an Easter Resolution today, more time in the Gym...

Insanity considered for next year, or possibly 2011: The Freedom Swim

I didn't make a New Years resolution. I started trying to lose weight a couple of weeks before and just kept going. I'm still sticking to it. I'm averaging about 4 pounds lost a month. My goal is to get to 16 total by the 21st of this month. It's not a lot but slow and steady wins the race sometimes.
