Character Builder/Compendium Update

For an example, check out the Encounter and Daily Attacks for the Elemental Tempest paragon path.
Although that's probably not a particularly good example, since it looks like they have incorrectly applied the errata in that case. :erm:

For Tempest Burst, the errata states:
Addition (2/10/2009)
In the Attack line, add “ + 5” after “Strength,” “Dexterity,” and “Constitution”.
But the Attack line has been amended to have a +6, presumably because the person adding it got confused with the errata for Elemental Fury, which is a +6.

heheh yep, I noticed that too. Still, it was the only example I could think of where it explains what errata was used. :)

I get "feel" for a class better seeing the powers laid out.

I don't. Part of is that reading power after power is pretty boring, and I generally stop doing it. I play a cleric about to reach 4th level, and I'm pretty well versed on cleric powers up thru level 6... I doubt I could even name a 7th level power.

I get a much better feel for a class by making characters. CB all the way!

The second part is when powers are spread out over multiple books. I was reading Arcane Power and trying to compare a Sorcerer and a Warlock... that takes 3 books (ignoring for the moment Dragon stuff). That's a bit of a chore. I can make 2 characters (later tonight anyway!) and compare directly.

I would love to see books like MotP, only fluffier and with even less rules, for inspirational/pleasure reading.

PS

It's funny that after all the people talking about DND becoming WOW that the choose right now to do the patches....
