Yeesh. I mean, even if you had a slightly better sculpt and rocking paint job...why the belly dancer pose?

sorry, but that doesn't scream: OMG! VECNA! That mini is going to get laughed off of many tables.

The rest? Meh. I really wish they'd peg down what they want the various humanoids to look like and stick with a single concept. Gnolls were getting pretty bad with how varied they looked from set to set (especially the new Tony the Tiger sculpt), but now the Goblins are looking different with each new mini.

Yeah, its kind of annoying...even if I don't always like the iconic look they try to establish in the MM's, I wish they'd at least stick to them. That should be part of their quest to control their IP.

I will jump on the Vecna band wagon as well, that is just pure and absolute rubbish. What were the designers thinking of?????

And the Goblin delver, how often, in any campaign/game, does the need for a goblin Nodwick come up? Never? Yep never, what a waste of a mini.

However I like the Clay Golem and the troll, the Sharp shooter look a bit like an alien but is OK.

But a goblin mule and Vecna looking like a EDIT: just plain weird (didn't want to offend anyone)? Colour me confused.

I think it's time for Wotc start a poll about D&D Miniatures. Most reaction hasn't been good at all.

Time to make a little step back and get in a better tune with the players.

I predicted a few months back that we'd start seeing polls this summer. I have a feeling we'll be seeing quite a few more as time goes by. Hopefully they will do some about the minis.

Well the last set looked like it was digging up unused molds from Dreamblade minis and using them for DDM. I wouldn't be surprised if they already had started some belly dancing genie mini for Dreamblade and thought, "We could just tweak the hand and call it Vecna."

They seem to be cutting corners a lot with minis. Repainting old minis and calling them Heroes? Uhg.

Anyone know what it was based on? Was Vecna's 4e description in Open Grave that bad and so at variance with what had gone before?

The art reference was a Dragon cover. The color scheme was based more on the Miniatures Handbook art. Sorry everybody hates it.
