I have a (somewhat lengthy) confession to make

Two things, I'm a technophile, I can't even get away from using my laptop with Hackmaster, so I love that I can use the Compendium during the game. Good stuff (also, just a question, how can you not like using a computer for gaming and still be upset at the lack of the VTT?)

Also, I use Firefox exclusively for browsing and have had zero problems with the DDI.

From the previous page-

It's def an issue I have with FTF gaming (PC use). I played with a group back in the 3.0 days where 2 of the people involved were constantly using/had thier heads stuck in the computer (one was the DM), and it was beyond annoying- I certainly wouldn't let that one instance sour me on something in general, however I'm also of the mindset that If I need a computer at the table to help me run the game, thats not the kind of game I want to run.

On the flip-side, being that I'm older now, a single parent, and have precious little time to game these days, let alone able to commit to a regular schedule for gaming, the VTT was (is) a HUGE deal to me.

I'd hate for anyone to think that the DDI somehow hated Firefox users, so let me just add that I use FF exclusively for browsing everything that is DDI (PDF's, Compendium, etc.) and haven't had any problems other than a few glitches during the first couple of months after the launch.

I do as a matter of course download PDF's and read them outside the browser, rather than letting the Adobe plug-in, which is rather notorious for hanging, display them for me.

Hope you get your problems sorted Jeff!

Neither the Acrobat Reader nor the Foxit Reader plugin work well with the PDFs, at least in Firefox. But downloading the individual PDF still works - and in the end, I want to have the PDF on my PC anyway.

I'd still prefer it fixed - if it is something WotC can influence and is not just due to Firefox or the Reader plugins.

I had a problem with the pdf's for a long time, I orginally blamed it on my beta windows 7, but then when i disabled the foxit, plugin and the adobe plugin in firefox boom I simple click and it asks where to save it.
