Pathfinder 1E The downside of subscribing to Pathfinder RPG?

Jeff Wilder

First Post
I subscribed to Pathfinder RPG, so I'll miss out on the fun exercise of hunting down everybody with their names on the cover.

Wait, that sentence ended prematurely.

I subscribed to Pathfinder RPG, so I'll miss out on the fun exercise of hunting down everybody with their names on the cover, at GenCon, to collect autographs.

Woe is me, right?

Being that I've never been to GenCon and have no intention of ever going to GenCon, I cant say that I relate or empathize.

However, if you are going to GenCon there's no reason that you can't buy a SECOND copy there, get it signed by everybody and just put it on your shelf as a collectable...

Exactly. I'm subscribing, and I also plan to buy a copy at GenCon for the missus. If any Paizonians have a moment to sign my book (like they did last year, when I bought the final booth copy of the Campaign Setting), I won't be losing out.

This year was the first year that I was actually considering going to GenCon just to pick up the PFRPG in person and get it signed by whoever I could get to sign it.

I ultimately decided that the money for the trip would be well spent elsewhere, but I have subscribed to Pathfinder RPG, added to my AP subscription.

Maybe I'll go to PaizoCon next year instead and get it signed there.

I looked at the cost of subscribing to the Pathfinder RPG, then looked at the cost of international shipping, and said "no thanks!"

A us$43 book with us$45 shipping?

That is completely insane.
