Can you use 2 Staffs of Ruin?

Assuming a DM allows single handed staff implements and a wizard has the dual implement spellcaster feat - Can he use 2 Staff of Ruins and get the benefit from both properties? I have listed the property of the staff below.

Property: In addition to the normal enhancement bonus, add the staff ’s enhancement bonus to damage rolls as an item bonus.

Thanks.

As a secondary question - Can a wizard gain the benefits of the properties of two staffs like a warlock can with two rods?

This is kind of implied in the first question above, but I thought I'd make it clear and ask that as well.

Thanks again.

No. You get the enhancement bonus as an item bonus. 2 item bonuses to damage will not stack with each other. PH1 275, Bonuses and Penalties.

AFAIK, there is nothing denying it, but it would depend on the specific properties.

Well, you don't actually need staff fighting for that; a staff of ruin plus another implement will do the same thing, if the implements have the same enhancement bonus. But the feat lets you do it for less money, which is nice.

Caliber, please delete your post ASAP! It's my turn in the DM chair starting next week and for gods sake my player doesn't need to read your post while I'm DMing! ;)

Note you can use the Staff Fighting feat and Dual Implement Spellcaster to get 3x a Staff of Ruin's enchantment bonus to damage. :)

Um.... no.

The property does not replicate because a weapon is a double-weapon or you have a feat that operates with two implements. None of these rules interact with each other, nor do they cause items to replicate their properties.

The "off-hand" part of a double weapon gains the enhancement bonus, but no properties, IIRC.

So what I think he means is:
1/ Enhancement bonus
2/ Staff of Ruin property (enhancement bonus twice)
3/ Dual Implement in your off-hand which just happens to be the "other end" of the staff, and therefore has the staff's enhancement bonus (third addition of enhancement bonus to damage).

In total, you can get 3x the enhancement bonus of one staff added to your spell damage.

Dual Implement does not care about Twin Weapon fighting. Dual Implement does not care about that staff is a double weapon. Double Weapon does not make the staff into two implements.

The fact is, you're only wielding a single implement. Handedness does not apply to implements, which is why you can one-hand a staff for implement attacks.
