PHB3: Githzerai and Seeker

The biggest thing seen so far in this article is this:

So with the four races in PHB3 that means: Minotaur, Githzerai, Wilden and one mor

I'm very disappointed that we keep getting fewer and fewer races in each PHB. I love having more races, and they take up so much less space than classes, I don't see why they can't keep putting in 8 per PHB. Especially since there are lots of spots on the grid that are underserved, like Int/Con.

Also from the article:

So there are four psionic classes total (we know two already) and none have wisdom as a primary stat (though all have builds with wisdom as a secondary stat).
Which means since the Zerai are supposed to be perfect fits for the Seeker, it's not Psionic. It's probably Divine, though it might be Primal. I'm betting Divine though.

It's because of the Hybrids. The Hybrid class rules are going to end up taking nearly the same page count as 2 classes. As is, that pretty much guarantees PHB3 will only have 7 new classes, and I'd be willing to bet there will only be 6.

To me, the seeker sounds like a divine class. I'm thinking that there will be two divine and two primal classes in addition to the four psionic classes.

My first thought was a Psionic class based around Scrying, Clairvoyance, Precognition, etc. It would be based around being able to pursue, predict and know beforehand even from far distances someone's actions. Combat wise it would be a Defender being able to predict the actions of the enemies thus being able to block attacks, defend/get allies out of the way and other such actions.
It's also possible that it isn't a psionic class, even though it's the best guess.

NOOOOooooo!!

My beloved githyanki, tossed aside...

*sigh*

I guess I'll have to write my own. Drat.
Yeah, it stinks. It's not as if Githzerai were ever presented as being a heroic PC race before either--they too are presented as opposition, just to the imperialistic extent of the yanki. Their "currency" rationale is stretched a bit thin. I guess they're saying "the yanki are great villains, while the zerai are not so great, so let's make'em playable".

I'm just sad we have another DEX/WIS race on top of the Elves and Razorclaw Shifters.

Otherwise, I really like their flavor. Githzerai have appealed to me for a long time.

FWIW, I'm betting on Hobgoblins, Kobolds, and Wilden being the other three races. The last, we know. The former two are just conjecture.
