the worst party ever

let's imagine your dm wants to keep your characters' identities secret from each other. he asks each player to come up with his character in secret. he says not to worry about similar characters. he'll make sure to adapt the encounters to the party.

now, let's say, by random chance, every player decides upon the same class for his character. the dm decides to just roll with it, becuase it will be interesting, probably even funny, to see what happens.

what do you guess would be the worst, least successful group of characters you could have? five bards? five warlords? five rogues?

i am thinking of 4e, but if you want to think back to previous editions, feel free. just make it clear in your post.

Five clerics or warlords would result in some really slow, boring fights. On the other hand, I've often thought about making a group of five strikers just to watch how quickly they chew through the opposition.

5 Gnome Paladins!

We joked that if we had a TPK we'd all make gnome paladins. Our DM noted in passing "huh, that'd be two TPKs in two sessions...." :D

I know this is antithetical to the topic, but I think a group of 5 assassins would be interesting. They'd 'flip the script' on the monsters by lurking in the darkness and jumping out to surprise them.

Thaumaturge.

Five controllers of any stripe. I have no idea how it was decided that controllers should have the least hitpoints AND the least damage of any class. They always seem to be a liability when I'm playing.

5 bards and call em the Patridge family.

Now that I have that out of my system, the most boring would be 5 leaders and 5 strikers would work up untill they meet a couple of elites, though if they are good enough they might manage that.

I would be very curious to how 5 wizards would fare.
