So, finally it's out that he drinks. I didn't really get that his visions were so blurry because he was drunk. ;)

Cool action scene, and the female FBI agent was pretty cool, defending herself in that scene... I hope her seeing the flash-forward again is a guarantee for us that she survives and not intended as a proof that the future can change.

I'm confused. The President was apparently still the President in his flashforward, and yet the evil bitch Congresswoman says that she was the President in her flashforward. They shouldn't both be true, but what would the evil bitch Congresswoman gain by lying? (Or was the Secret Service guy in the President's flashforward calling him "Mr. President" merely as a sign of respect to an ex-President? I suppose that's possible.)

Likewise, I'm confused by the fact that Agent Noh didn't have a flashforward, presumably because he's dead by April 2010, and yet his fiancee saw him in her flashforward.

It's an interesting TV show, but it just reinforces my liking the book better.

They're being a bit misleading. The Senator probably saw something that will lead to her being president - ie, the current president will have to resign. Alternately, maybe he has resigned and it's like you said.

We don't know what's up with Dmitri's lack of vision. Maybe he's blind, maybe he's blindfolded, maybe he's truly dead, maybe the report on his death was faked for some reason.

Did you consider that she was lying? Or maybe she saw somebody from behind who looked like him and she assumed it was him. Perhaps she didn't see anything either and is too scared to admit it, so she made up a story.

While I could be wrong (and I often am) I interpreted it as the secret service agent was walking in to tell the president that something was wrong - either news that his scandal was made public or that some new info came in that would cause him to have to resign or be impeached. And the VP's flashforward was her hearing the same news and celebrating over the fact that she would now be president shortly.

From the fiancee's vision, remember that she was a distance down the beach and what we as the audience (presumably seeing as much as she did) did not see Agent Noh but rather a groom with his back to us in the distance. So I was just presuming that she was getting married to someone else but she just assumed it was agent Noh.

After all, we interpret things in whatever context of the knowledge we have available. So she just put Noh in the groom's place.

Yeah, my brother and I were debating the meaning of them showing her flashforward again as she was laying there.
Either she'll be rescued, and the flashforward was simply a reminder that she still had more to do. Or, she will die as proof that the future can be changed.. I guess we'll find out next time :D

The President was apparently still the President in his flashforward, and yet the evil bitch Congresswoman says that she was the President in her flashforward.

Something else to consider... I believe a US President is allowed to keep the title, "Mr. President" even after he leaves office. One could still call Bush or Clinton, "Mr. President".

Aside from that (and I don't even remember if the words "Mr. President" were even uttered during the flash forward) what is there to let us know he's still the president? Was there anything to definitely identify the bedroom he was in as being a part of the White House?

And again, who's to say everyone is being truthful about their flash forwards? I'm assuming that those we (the audience) are actually shown are true, but those that people only talk about and we don't actually see... who knows? And my assumption that the shown flashes are true is just an assumption as well.

Think about it... everyone sees their future, and everyone seems to be trusting the future that people tell them about. I could see a very egotistical person trying to make themselves seem important by lying about their flash forwards, saying something grander happened to them than what they really saw.

When two people's flash forwards seem to contradict it either means somebody's lying or they just didn't understand the flashes (in my opinion... I suppose a third possibility is that not everyone's flashes will come true).

We didn't see her flashforward - an easy explanation (considering what ended up happening in the episode) is that she saw herself as vice-president but misinterpreted it as being the president (she's certainly arrogant enough) or even that she knew she was vice-president and extrapolating from there that she will later be president.

Likewise, I'm confused by the fact that Agent Noh didn't have a flashforward, presumably because he's dead by April 2010, and yet his fiancee saw him in her flashforward.

The show was being deliberately misleading here - she never actually saw the groom.

My developing problem with the show: they seem to be deliberately ignoring the whole - knowing your future means you act differently and therefore likely change it - especially on a global scale (imagine billions of butterfly effects). I would have at least liked some throw away comments on this, otherwise you have a whole show based on people acting like idiots (now I only skimmed the 2nd and 3rd episode so maybe I missed it, but there has been no trace of such discussion of the episodes I watched "in depth.")
