TURTLEDOME! (Battle Bone!) -- Part 2

Drivan takes copious notes from the book, ensuring that he understands the methods needed in order to convert the elemental force to divine radiance.

[sblock=OOC]Can an arcane spellcaster cast an elemental spell through the lens at a target? No worries about the waiting;) Been busy with Rrek anyways, arguing the nature of planes and dimensions and all that.[/sblock]

Turning from the book Drivan looks the imp up and down, "I guess I owe you thanks, I've been searching for this very book for a while now! Are you some manner of a library imp?"

(From the sound, lights, and bursts of fire rising into the heavens, Finnian surmises that Emral is outside the house, in the yard.)
Finnian gets up and moves carefully through the house towards the yard to meet up with Emral. He is careful to carve a wide path around Swillwort as he makes his way to the door.

Erlai is pleased to get outside again and leaps from Finnian's arm and takes to the air, spinning and diving around the ranger.

Turning from the book Drivan looks the imp up and down, "I guess I owe you thanks, I've been searching for this very book for a while now! Are you some manner of a library imp?"
The imp raises its arm to take in the entire library, then points at itself and shakes its head. It points at a book, then at itself, and nods vigorously.

He is careful to carve a wide path around Swillwort as he makes his way to the door.
"Feel free to come back any time you'd like," says the enchanter to the departing ranger.

As Finnian closes the door, he swears he can hear maniacal guffaws coming from inside the house...

The imp nods.

It points at Drivan, then itself, then Drivan again. It holds its hands together, as if making a chain.

And I forgot to answer the question: Yes, any arcane caster can use a lens to turn a spell's type into radiant energy.

Drivan looks confused... "You want to hold my hand? I'm grateful and everything but..."

[sblock=Kenhood]Makes sense, thanks![/sblock]

"Show me something? Walk somewhere? Can you write it?"

[sblock=OOC]A tome falls from the shelf above Drivan, bouncing off of his thick skull. Landing at his feet the title says, "Your familiar and you: An introduction to magical familiars by Professor Fizzlepot Squigglebottom."[/sblock]

The imp slaps itself on the forehead and heaves a frustrated sigh. It rushes forward and bites Drivan on the ankle.

The imp then speaks. Its voice is high-pitched, squeaky, and gibberish, but to Drivan's ears, it sounds like the cultured voice of a man speaking in rich, round tones...

[sblock=Who?]Anthony Hopkins, of course![/sblock]
"Greetings, Drivan. Now that the appropriate exchange of fluids has taken place, our connection is cemented. I am Oburfen Descalen of the 9th Rank and 10th Circle. I am a Book Imp, and more specifically, I am YOUR Book Imp. I look forward to a long and fruitful collaboration. I would like to make clear that I do not, under any circumstances, retrieve food and drink, nor do I perform cleaning services. Furthermore, every fortnight, I require a release from duties for a period of three hours so that I may resolve personal issues."

The imp shakes its head. It points at itself and points at Drivan. Then, it pantomimes two people walking together.

[sblock=wait, what?!] Ok, Mr. DM smart guy: how does one imp pantomime two people walking together? :p

On a serious note, I got the sheet fixed up and mailed to a bunch of the judges. I haven't heard back from any of them. Maybe I did something wrong? (other than looking this good)

Emral turns around and nods at Finnian. He brushes his hands over THE COAT! appreciatively, allowing a satisfied purrr ripple along its hem. He gives each of the heads (especially Drivan-skull) a bobble, and nods. Drivan, old buddy, I think this will do quite nicely. Let's grab that Minotaur of ours and head over to the Pawn shop. We clean it up right, and I think we'll have a great base of operations to work out of. Not that ANYTHING ELSE COULD HAPPEN before the TURTLEDOME! match. We'll need something to keep ourselves busy, y'know?

Emral motions for Finnian to follow him, and find Vaunea, and then go back to the store and set up.
