Then you apparently haven't been watching Dollhouse.

Apparently, I'm not the only one who hasn't been watching it.

Touché. But he was pretty scary there, too.Apparently, I'm not the only one who hasn't been watching it.![]()
If they were free to act, and uninfluenced, yes. The implication is that the Visitors have already been around for some time, and have operatives in high positions (we've seen on FBI, we can presume others).
Agreed.IMO, He was way scarier on Dollhouse than he was as V-infiltrator.
While normally, I would agree with this, but we know they have been here for a long time (how long? I don't think it has been revealed or I missed it), and would have learned all these things they claim they can do, what with their advanced technology and supposed higher degrees of insight.Well, it limits official asking of questions, which is not the same thing.
My point is that they can tell the truth (or at least more truth), and have it raise fewer questions. "We spent the last year in transit listening to your radio and TV broadcasts, learning your languages. We are so happy to finally meet you," rather than, "We only learned about your existence *today*", which just isn't very credible.
Quite simple - it is a bit of shoddyness in the writing. Not unexpected.
I can't remember who said it... but a PERSON is smart, resourceful and capable of individual insights. But PEOPLE are dumb, mob-like and will believe anything.
Yes, that is true, but I was thinking about a more ancient philosophical or ideological quip, as I am sure someone before the MiB writers came up with it first.Tommy Lee Jones in Men In Black...a movie that is amusingly about aliens living among us in secret.
Or someone like that. I had guessed that (at the least) the local high priest was a plant, an Undercover V. Maybe not the Pope, but an influential upstart cardinal or something would be more interesting. Someone with growth potential for a few seasons.I have a feeling the Pope is also a visitor. The priest did comment on the how he thought the Church accepted them as creatures of God too quickly.
