4E subforum?

I'm just surprised that in this case, the official arbiters chose to so drastically alter (unreasonably, IMO) what has come before.

It's really a lose lose situation for them. If they change things people complain about how the game is ruined and all that. If they keep it the same then people complain that they are just reusing and reprinting old material that they already have.

Me, I want the change. If I don't like it I get to use the 3e book, Planscape, or whatever it is I like that I already have. But sometimes they do write a book that has good ideas in it that I can use. That's what I want: Something I don't already have.

I'm curious as to why there isn't a Conversions subforum in the 'D&D 4E forum' as there is in the '3rd Ed. and Older'. Perhaps it's on here somewhere, but I took a look around and couldn't find such.

Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'd recommend checking out Jester's 4e Monster Project for conversions of a ton of monsters. Many are applicable to planescape.

I don't have an in-game answer for why specifically there is a Feywild (other than a Plane of Faerie has alot of traction due to real world myth and past D&D conventions), but there is a specific explanation for the enmity between devils and demons. Beyond being an extension of the fundamental immortal vs. elemental conflict, Asmodeus stole a piece of the Shard of Evil that laid at the base of the Abyss in order to fashion his Ruby Rod and slay He Who Was. Asmodeus wants to use the shard to subjugate the rest of demonkind, while the demons want to recover the shard and return it to its rightful place. Thus began the 4e version of the Blood War.

Its from the Blood War sidebar in the 4e Manual of the Planes (page 89).

It just occured to me that what Asmodeus did to He Who Was was exactly what Orcus was in the process of doing to the Raven Queen in module E3 Prince of Undeath.
