Vote for your favorite Paragon Path - Part 5: Rogue

In today's poll you're welcome to vote for your favorite Paragon Path for the other martial striker - the sneaky rogue. As with the other polls, the champion will move on to the next round. (I'll probably throw in a relegation for 2nd place finishers though).

There has been some confusion about which PPs come up for vote on each class. I group those PPs that require the same class in one poll - that means some popular choices for Rogue characters will not be listed here because they don't have a rogue requirement, maybe because you need to multiclass, or because they are more general, say for all martial, all strikers or a specific race without class restriction.

Certainly. Daggermaster with sorcerer is just plain wrong, no other way to look at it.

First off, it's obvious from the first 5 polls that anything NOT in the original PHB is severely handicapped. Possible reasons:

a) fewer people have ever seen it,
b) fewer people who have seen it are actually familiar with it,
c) fewer people who are familiar with it have actually played it,
d) in general the PHB ones are closer to archetypes whereas many of the later ones are a bit peculiar,
e) PHB PPs could not be balanced relative to later feats and powers due to the nature of the Space-Time Continuum.

So really the question is, why is Daggermaster so favored over the other PHB PPs? I'm not sure it's about "overpowered" per se -- I mean, the Shadow Assassin is also very, very good. I suspect it's more along the lines of "Everyone loves a crit."

Daggermaster is awesome because of all the crit combos you can get.

. . .and all the Avengers and Sorcerers can take it too, so it has a bit more exposure than other Rogue PP's. Same reason some of the Fighter PP's are so loved. Many Str based characters can qualify for the best ones for the price of a feat.

Thats what makes it good. Giving not only the class designed for a good option, but versatility for other classes as well.

It gives good bonuses most of the time. Too many paragon classes give "resist 5 when a dragon is doing cartwheels and The Fury is playing a fiddle" type situations.

This paragon opens up too many feats/magical items that are otherwise not appealing for nearly all other builds. Daggermaster may not be the greatest Rogue paragon, but it is easily the most fun in my opinion.

I would love to see more high critical paragons for other classes.
