"Now we need to sssee what the localsss know" urges Skalisss to the others as he heads out to canvas the area. He tries to find out if anyone saw people coming or going from behind this building, the ones carring a sack or a child plainly visible.

[sblock=OOC]Sorry things have been slow guys, been quite busy in RL recently. Would someone like to volunteer to have gone with Andrec to save him making two journeys?[/sblock]

Skalisss quizzes everybody he can find nearby, and with the hulking mass of metal and fur that is Growl stood looking over the dragonborn's shoulder, most people quake a little before telling you in various different ways that they haven't seen anything suspicious in days. Although it is clear that they are scared of saying something they shouldn't, Growl doesn't pick up on any deceit, just worry and fear.

At the orphanage, Mam welcomes Andrec and his hooded companion with tears of relief in her eyes.
"I was'ne sure you'd come back, And you found Timmy too." She looks over the boy, concern clear on her face, "Bring him in a minute and I'll get him out of those damp clothes an' into somethin' cleaner."

Inside the derelict manor house, you are surprised to find quite an organised and clean household, the wall between what was probably once a the kitchen and dining hall has all but gone and a large crudely made table spans the length of the room. A teenage girl in a ragged frock is stirring a large cauldron that sits over the kitchen hearth. Lil is lying; still unconscious, on a makeshift cot near the fire.

"Take a seat there while I see to the boy, Taffy will give ye a bowl o' broth if you're hungry." The matron carefully takes Timmy from Andrecs arms and takes him out of the room.

---

Without very much luck eliciting more information out of the locals, the rest of the group are resigned to resuming the search for the remaining two missing orphans.

OOC: Sorry again for the wait guys, I should be back on form from now

[sblock=bump] Is anyone out there? Let's get the lead out peeps! [/sblock]

Nodding to the matron from behind her cowl, Mikara responds quietly.

"That won't be necessary, but thank you for the offer. We are in quite a hurry to figure out what is happening here, so please excuse us if we seem rude by leaving so quickly."

The ugly drow looks over at Andrec imploringly, hoping the armored man would take the lead in this situation.

'Yes, just get him cleaned up, and we'll take them over to the Temple. The priests will be better able to care for them while we look for the others."
[sblock=OOC]My apologies. I was not planning to respond, as her comment seemed perfectly reasonable. Either way, please don't hold up the game on my account![/sblock]

"Nothing!" curses Skalisss, frustrated at the lack of leads. "The othersss will be coming back here, ssso we cannot venure far. We ssshall probe out and back briefly until they return."

Skalisss leads the others on a short (15 minutes) scouting trip to try to find anything relating to a missing orphan or a gang member. Perception (1d20+4=8)
