D&D 4E 4e articles on Tharizdun?

I know there is some info about Tharizdun in the new 4e books/articles, but somehow, my brain refuses to remember where.

Can anyone help?

There is a bit in Underdark. Read the sections on the Elemental Eye and the adventure arc, "Mark of the Drow."

Lolth is portrayed (perhaps incorrectly) as the jailer of Tharizdun (or at least a contributing force). Her webs bind him, and her furthermore, her webs hold together the very fabric of reality against his assault.

Considering that she is a chaotic evil maniac who revels in destruction, it's sort of an odd/ironic spin: Lolth, servant of order and protector of the universe. Weird, right?

I dunno about anyone else, but in a Lolth vs. Tharizdun match, I wouldn't be betting even a single copper piece on the spider wench.

Though honestly, I'm going by previous editions and my own personal campaign assumptions here, so YMMV.

Damn, I must admit I was sure that there was more info on him or his followers. A pity.

Thanks for the info though.

I don't have the books at hand for the moment, but I believe the 4th edition preview books had details on him and the Dawn War. Although some might have changed since then, it might be a good place to start.

Also, I think there might be some info on the evil gods in the DMG.
Yup, just checked the compendium, has a short write up which includes some basic info on what his followers do/believe.

But I think the most info I read on him was the Preview books, although I can't remember of the two which had more regarding him.

I haven't had the chance to look through it in details, but the Plane Above may have some info. Simply while glancing through it, I at least saw mention of some connection between him and one of the dominions (Pandemonium?) - though I could be just imagining things.

Outside of that, I would be surprised if there wasn't a decent bit of info in the upcoming Demonomicon, given his ties to the Abyss.

Sigh...

This is also what I remember, and that it was implied that he was deeply conected to the abbys.
