May '10: What Are You Playing?

It's been over a year since the last time we did this.

So ... what games are you playing?

Hmm... refering to video and computer games, lately it is ...


* Phantasy Star IV (yes, old school rpg, i just really enjoy watching those seemingly random combos go off - a rareity in turn based rpgs)
* Gaining Ground (again, old school, action/puzzle game. though i can't get past a certain point so doubt i'll play this much longer)
* Batman Arkum Asylum (going for another play though, trying to use some of the gadgets i didn't use much on previous playthroughs.)
* Dragon Age (started yet another play through to do a variety of other choices, but the other choices are not holding my attention because i feel too mean)

I play 4e but write for Swords & Wizardry retroclone. I cant seem to find a S&W gaming group locally.

I found my Final Fantasy VII disks and reinstalled, game is as awesome as I remembered.

Also waiting for the new Dragon Age DLC, which apparently has you playing as Dark Spawn...

Startrek Online. (BTW - if anyone is still interested, now is the time to contact me, since they have started a referral program that gives players some minor benefits when attracing new players. Well, if for some reason I'd manage to find 5 people testing and eventually subscribing, I could get the Enterprise variant from All Good Things - you know, that ugly, 3 nacelled thing with the giant phaser wave motion gun?)

The only game I'm really playing right now is MLB 10 The Show (PS3).

I booted up Shadow Complex (360) a little while back as well.

What a great game.

I really wish they'd go back and release more games for the RPG series and forget about the online stuff. One of these days I'm gonna go back and play I-IV again. Although III was kinda painful the first time...

I still have this sitting in the shrinkwrap. Luckily I only spent $20 on it for the PS3. Pretty sure amazon was having a sale or something.

I'd say I'm doing the same thing but I haven't played in months. I'm in the process of putting all my PC games on the new laptop.

Hmm, let's see, Super Street Fighter 4, PixelJunk Shooter, Left for Dead 2.

Semi recently since this hasn't been done in a while, God of War 3, LittleBigPlanet (had to ace all of the PotC levels), Heavy Rain (ashamedly still need to finish), Half-Life 2/ep1/ep2, Cysisl, Borderlands, Mass Effect 1&2. I think that's everything from the last few months, and most of the calender year.

What was this game? I know of Gain Ground, one of my favorite games ever, same game or are you talking about something else?

Really, I used pretty much everything extensively. As I recall at least.

I booted up Shadow Complex (360) a little while back as well.

I'd love to play that game, kind of hard to justify the purchase of a 360 for it though.

This is true.

There are some other nice exclusives on the 360, too. Maybe after the next price drop it'll hit the sweet spot for people on the fence.
