We stopped by to look at it today while at Origins. Very cool! Even my wife, who normally doesn't for for every tech gadget in the world was thinking the platform quite cool.
They were of course primarily demo'ing Catan, but we caught them at a good time and had the ironpup's with us, so they showed off a few more of the applications while we were there to show off the Surface a bit. They had a pumpkin carving app, where you could just use your finger and it would let you carve a face on it. Also saw a cool 3D fishing game and a DJ application with a turntable where you could drag various instruments to the turn table to build your own mix.
I could see these being very popular when they eventually drop in price where the normal person can afford one.
