I think the real dark horse of the red box is the +2 Dex +2 Con halfling. Tough little bastards.
This really makes me want to play an infernal pact warlock that's a halfling. The powers of hell in a tiny package.

These are all true, but they're as true for Battleminds as they are for Fighters.Dwarven weapon training doesn't rely on Wis, the whole path of hammer feats (which do all sorts of damage) rely on Con, the whole slew of second wind related feats don't rely on Wis. I could go on. Really.
Same could be said for Eladrin weapon training. I know they dont get Str primary, but its still a fantastic feat (I actually prefer to dwarven weapon training. Spears is an awesome group IMO)I smell an update to dwarven weapon training.
Sadly, I agree, I like the numbers the dwarf brings, but I hate their flavor. They're like, the sum total of everything stereotyped about the Irish.

I just wonder about the human. I mean, it would be sort of neat if people actually played them again.
I also wonder (but don't care as much) about the eladrin. If elves got +2 to int or wis, what would be the point?
