Seriously though, probably not evil, but definitely gross. It might also be difficult for people seeing them to realize it came from an undead creature, or simply from a normal dead person.

Caligula had his army collect sea shells. Nero collected Greek sculptures.

Though it can be a trick to attract attention, and make people who only skim through some text - to actually focus more. Kinda like using sheriffs.

Of course, using too many of them can make an article look needlessly fiddly and ornate, which is why many people who prefer a cleaner style opt to use sans sheriff.

I totally missed this which is bizarre considering the thread in question. And you were talking about reading comprehension and reading text in the correct form even when it's not.
