Funny enough the hardest fight was before that against 20 Tuscan Raiders which the group lost and I had them captured instead of killed. IDK how they expect 4-6 players to take out that much blaster fire with foe attack stats about twice as good as a storm trooper.
Manhunt on Tattooine.
Right. The ravine before the fort. That's a 1E module. Are you running 1E? No sure if there's that much difference in the NPC stats. I don't remember. Comparing the module to the 2E core, it looks like the stormtrooper stats are identical.

From the module:

Sand People: DEX 2D+1, blaster carbine 3D+1 (damage 5D), gaffi stick 4D (damage 4D+2); STR 3D+2.

Stormtroopers: DEX 1D, blaster 3D, brawling parry 3D, dodge 3D; STR 2D (3D for damage purposes), brawling 3D. All other attributes and skills: 2D. Blaster damage 4D. Blaster rifle damage 5D.

They're not that much better than stormtroopers but still, 20 sand people ambushing a party is going to be a tough fight. Especially with 10 dedicated ranged attackers and 10 melee attackers. Oof.

One thing thats funny is trying to un-D&D a group. Like this is Star Wars you don't need to strip ever Trooper you kill.

Storm Trooper has a rocket launcher. Now so does the group. Jodo gets taken down. They took his Mando armor, his wrist laser and his wrist needle launcher. At least the stopped fishing for credits in every downed foes pockets

Had a land speeders trunk full of Blaster Rifles though. Which of course they sold first chance they got.

Yep. Every group I’ve ever played Star Wars with has done this. Every single one. It’s maddening at first. But then you start using it against them. It’ll be clear the PCs are stripping everything for parts real quick. The Empire or crime lords will notice. They will plant trackers and booby traps on things.

Not to mention if you show up selling a trunk load of Imperial weaponry with the serial numbers intact, you better be making a heck of a Streetwise check if you want to avoid someone passing information to the Empire with a detailed description of who was selling looted Imperial weapons.
