I think I might have related these stories related before, but then again, bad NPC names and "worse" player reactions are nothing new. Back in the Sunless Citadel there was the bugbear gardener (!) named Balsag. It evoked the response you would respect, and in fact they kept snickering about it for years after wards (until it was eventually forgotten).

And of course, WotC is not the only one with bad names. Hell In Freeport, a 3.0 adventure by Green Ronin, had a fairly annoying Charun type Styx ferryman in it. His name? It was Bish. And what was the first thing I heard from my player's upon their learning of it? "I'm gonna make him my..."
 

And who can forget Dick Rentsch of in the town of Nulb. Sigh, some of the names of Temple of Elemental Evil are just wrong, wrong, wrong...
