is sweet! Just got mine today. The display box is very nice. I love how each beholder is "floating" in the box...

Each is pretty well done... I really like the frost and ghost.

I'm redesigning tomorrow's encounters right now...

Now.... why are all of these xenophobic beholders in the same place? Wizards lab.... and they are all released at the same time and cause havoc because of.... Time to destroy some townsfolk...

Xenophobic means fear of outsiders. Beholders aren't necessarily outsiders. Granted, traditionally they're afraid of each other, being paranoid power-mad insane things. Anyhoo...

Xenophobic means fear of outsiders. Beholders aren't necessarily outsiders. Granted, traditionally they're afraid of each other, being paranoid power-mad insane things. Anyhoo...

Traditional D&D lore has each beholder convinced of its own perfection, and appalled at any imperfect beholders (e.g. those with a slightly different appearance) to the point of wanting to wipe them out.

It's the equivalent of me becoming homicidal when I see someone with different hair or eye color, different height, a bigger or smaller nose, smaller feet, etc.

I like the set as well and can't wait until I can use one! My players were less than enthused about that idea.

The packaging itself is very nice! And I do like how they seem to be floating in it!

Looking forward to these. Four beholders for what you can pay for one or two on the secondary market sounded great to me! Plus, the palnt schemes for this set look oh so cool.

I preordered mine from Paizo because my FLGS wasn't going to get enough to allow preorders, but apparently not early enough as my Paizo preorder got cancelled due to limited availability. Amazon claims they still have some in stock, so I ordered through there yesterday. Hopefully the order will go through! Otherwise, ebay, here I come!

Limited availability means it's selling well, though, so that's good for Wizards! Hopefully this print run will sell out, justifying more sweet collector sets...
