I've been buying from them for a while now and they are excellent (UK one).

Never had a problem. I'd say Ive bought 20 to 30 books from them.

I've been living in Korea for some time and have had serious problems being able to get rpg products (D&D 4e for me).

Hey Buddha, do you know if there a D&D set in Korean? When I went to Seoul last time, the game store had only games in English and I would like to find any rpgs in Korean and if you can point me to a website, I can take it from there.

I have the Core Rulebooks 4e in Chinese. Really awesome since the Chinese products also give you a lot more other stuff too with each book like packets of character sheets, power cards, dice, combat tracking sheets, a DM screen, and a cardboard dice tower.

I'm fascinated for several reasons. But first, I don't know of any gaming products in Korean. And for that matter, I didn't know there were any gaming products in English being sold in Korea. I used to live in Seoul but live in Ulsan now. Can you give me any info at all about the Seoul gaming shop? I'm shocked but delighted. When I visit, if I find anything in Korean, I will send you a message.

So, do you speak Chinese/Korean, or is this primarily for collecting purposes?

Hey Buddha,

The Seoul gaming shop was in a mall but I can't remember if it was in Namdaemun or the other market. It's the market that caters to the Americans, but there is a pricey mall there. Sorry I can't remember the name of the mall though.

I took two years of Korean at the Interculture Institute of California in San Francisco. Fun language to learn, but very difficult. The school was great and very affordable. I haven't used my Korean all that much though so about the only thing I can do is read Korean.

I took Chinese (Mandarin) at City College in San Francisco and I'm married to a Chinese national, so my trips to China are more frequent to visit my in-laws and the Mrs.' friends. It was one of her friends who bought me the Chinese D&D rulebooks and their introductory set (not the Red Essentials, but that blue box they came out with back in 2008), and then sent it to me as a gift. Pure awesome.

To be honest, my language skills are completely atrocious and I would getting these rpgs purely for collecting purposes.

Ah yes, I remember you now. You were a player in the infamous Korean prostitution calling card CSI-thread here on Enworld.

I would love to find D&D books in Korea, but it seriously doubt that will happen.

oO'' Aww ... can't believe I see this post now. I just purchsed the Monster Vault and the Rules Compendium from that store 'bookdepository' but via amazon.co.uk and paid more than 7 pounds shipping. And when I say just, I mean like 10 minutes ago literally ... oh the injustice!

Oh well, now I know to go straight to the sauce ... I mean sorce ... hmm I must be getting hungry. I'd better go and make dinner and not think about it too much.

P.S need to spread xp before giving it to buddahfrog again blablabla ... can some one cover that for me please? Thanks!

I'm also a very satisfied customer. They are almost always cheaper than amazon.ca. And their customer service has been superb. I mentioned to them once that the product that I'd received was not what I'd expected due to what was arguably largely or entirely my mistake (also arguably at least partially their error). Without my even requesting it they refunded my money.

One thing to note. The prices at bookdepository.com are very often cheaper than those at bookdepository.co.uk. I have no clue why as they both ship from the UK.

Shipping from the UK to Canada takes ~ 2 weeks or so. If I'm in a real hurry I'll use amazon.ca :-).

Thanks jbear, b/c like you, I'm stuck at Gorilla Bear (lvl 8). Gorilla Bear? What a lousy waste of a monster. However, seeing that you are Jbear, a level 8 Gorilla Bear, I hope I haven't offended you.

I think the xp titles have recently been changed, since I used to be a vampire at level 11...

It's probably because people are advancing at such a fast rate they were running out of cool titles ;)

Edit: I just realized that all of the new titles seem to be monsters from the Fiend Folio... I wonder what's that supposed to mean?!
