Difficulties logging into DDI?!!!!(WTF!)

First Post
Lately I have been having trouble logging into my DDI account, it seemed start shorly after they released the new online Silverlight CB and performed a server update, and since then I have only been able to log in successfully once out of every 9 attempts (if I am lucky), and it only seems to be getting worse. Anyone else haveing similar difficulties. I have also tried to contact WoTC Technical Support people, but have been unsuccessful thus far. Anybody know what is going on. I have a full year membership I purchased a month and a half before they switched over the CB. I have not been really upset over the change over, but I am getting a bit frusterated with not being able to access a service I am paying for.

I sometimes have trouble logging into the site. What I find is that when I go to the sight, the login (sometimes) doesnt work. What I do then is refresh the page.

For some magical reason, when I refresh the page, it works. Go figure

Are you habing trouble logging into DDI, or the Character Builder?

Some suggestions:

1 - Log out of DDI.
2 - Delete cookies, history, temporary internet folders.
3 - Shut down browser.
4 - Restart browser.
5 - Attempt to log in.

Some other questions:

What OS?
What browser?
What URL are you using to login?

I am using XP on the home comp, Vista on the laptop, and Windows 7 on my friends comp. the results are all the same. I have tried step 1,3-5, I missed deleting the temp internet folder in step 2 (will give that a try.

Sometime explorer, sometime i use firefox, other times I use opera

I will have to check which url I am using
Thanks

I don't mean to be discouraging, but I tried a month subscription when the new CB launched, and the service was so unreliable I dropped my subscription. At best the CB worked about half the time. I really like 4th ed, but Wizards can't do online products to save its freaking life. The one real success they had with electronic prodcuts was the old CB, and they discontinued that. The only thing I can suggest is asking for a refund.

I've had log in problems since the very beginning.

What I do is select an article and log in from there. For some reason, the home page never works for me, whether I use my user name or my email address. If the article trick doesn't work I go to the forums and log in there and then head back to the main page.

Yes, it is unbelievable that a paying customer has to resort to these sorts of workarounds but I just lower my expectations when it is a mix of WotC and anything digital.

Might want to check
1) the password you are using
2) that you have an account

When I use Firefox or Chrome, there's a repetitive problem with the cookie generated when you select the auto-login. I quite often have to delete my *.wizards.com cookies to get it to let me log in again.

Logging in without selecting auto-login tends to work even when the cookies have gone wrong.

mmmm cookies.

This weekend my wife made:

M&M Sugar Cookies, Ginger Cookies, Espresso Cookies, Peanut Butter Filled Chocolate Cookies, and Peanut Butter Cookies with a Hershey's kiss on top.

I can still log into DDI but... I think soon I will be 500 lbs.
