I tried to attach a bar graph showing the prominence of carts in OotS comics, but it gave me an error message.

Back on topic: I don't think we're going to be seeing those gladiator fights after all. I really was indifferent to the whole affair anyway and the Tarquin plot's been much more interesting to me than that could have ever been. But considering all of the "get to the gladiator fights already" posts I've seen, it's pretty funny that Rich teased everyone about it for nothing.

OR, what is also likely to happen is that Tarquin will show up in the dungeon in a few strips to select which gladiators will be sent to their deaths. Then he will select Elan to join the fray (while forcing Elan to battle against one of his friends) in an attempt to embitter him and push him towards the eventual Father vs Son battle.
