Hey, I just wanted you to be aware of the options!I like the shielding swordmage better, too. I see my character as a defender of others while leading or controling. Wish I had more powers that worked on multiple enemies.
Comment from the peanut gallery here - Dark Sun themes give you one free encounter power and then a few powers that can be swapped for other powers. I think most, if not all, of the existing themes are pretty strongly tied to Dark Sun (or at least very much not quasi-Europe) and would seem out of place elsewhere.
WotC is supposed to be putting out themes for "generic" D&D at some point.
At some point. But the book that was supposed to have them was canceled, so who knows when that will happen. On the other hand, there are supposed to be themes in the Neverwinter Campaign Setting too, and those ought to be more generic.
