if i use the power Feat Leech to steel the feat Psicrystal Affinity can i get a psicrystal?

if so what happens to it when the spell expires do i loose my new Psicrystal?

if loosing the feat makes you loose the Psicrystal dose the person i stole it from loose theirs?

do i loose xp for loosing the psicrystal? dose the other guy?

or is this just a cheese way of getting a psicrystal?

The rules on making a psicrystal are notorious in their lack of exisitence.

Basically the books never talk about how to make one, only what they are.

IMO they follow roughly the same pattern as summoning a familiar - it takes 24 hrs of preparation/meditation/concentration/whateverever you want to call it. So I would say it is impossible to create one in melee.

But once the psicrystal exists then it exists - much like the effects of a conjuration spell. It doesn't matter how it got there it is there now.

So I would rule that you only need the feat to initially create a psicrystal, after that it is not needed anymore.

For the most part, I agree with jrdeggman...

Although personally, I would not allow a psicrystal to continue advancing in ability if the character no longer had the feat, and I would not allow a character to replace a lost psicrystal without the feat, because otherwise, that's a feat that would always be reformed away.

And replacing a lost (or destroyed) psicrystal is another thing not addresed.

Unlike a familiar there is nothing in the rules to say that you can replace it. I think the rules are supposed to be similar to those for a familar but there is a rules issue here and "technically" since it doesn't address replacing a psicrystal then you can only get 1 per psicrystal affinity feat period. And it doesn't say that you can take the feat multiple times either.

by default you can only take a feat once unless it is specified like toughness or weapon/armor prof.
