I think it's amusing that the game enforces game balance on the party by determining which sibling lives or dies, based on your character's class...

I noticed that as well, was a bit confused at first because the first two times it was the female who stuck around. So on the third time I was wondering what the brother was doing there.

Of course the real 'what the hell!?' moment was when I first played the demo on my PS3 and I found myself thinking 'this isn't Dragon Age, what did they do!?'

Things were much better after I played the PC demo. All is right with the world now.
