Games Plus Auction

For those who are unaware, and as a reminder to those who love it, one of the best FLGSs in Chicagoland has an auction twice a year and this weekend is one of them for the Games Plus Auction. Gamers clear out their closets and recycle thier unplayed games to garner store credit, while others go and bid on these treasures. There are some great bargains to be had for those looking to complete collections of OOP materials. For others there is the attraction of checking out gaming material they might not have thought to buy at full retail. I've gotten some great bargains there and hope to pick up a few this weekend, too. It starts tonight and continues Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Follow the link for more details.

But I might be in Chicago on March 26th, a couple weeks late... NOOOOO!!!

I try to make it to Games Plus at least once a year whenever I'm in the Chicago area. Games Plus is just packed with "stuff" that I don't see here in Iowa--the market demand for such a comphrensive store just isn't here.

The last time I went to Games Plus was back in mid-May, 2010. It's time for another visit...

It's been that way for awhile, IIRC. I'll ping thalmin to discuss the auction further (though he might be a bit busy this weekend).

Hell, if I had a clue if my landlord is renewing my lease or not in two months I might have throw many many many more boxes worth of stuff in there.
