ALARUMS AND EXCURSIONS (updated June 2009)

Alarums and Excursions - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It's an rpg/D&D magazine that's been 'in print' since 1975, I've always wanted to subscribe and now I'm going to. Though I'm not sure if Lee Gold takes paypal from the US and if he does what is his account?

I want to get a couple of back issues as well, and was wondering if anyone had any favorites or suggestions.
The only help I can be is to point out that 'he' is a she.

I used to get the odd Alarums and Excursions back in the 1970's (and the junior UK version called Trollcrusher, to which I was a contributor!).

I used to love the old APA's. It's funny, they were a bit like slow motion internet forums in a way!

Hey, I know that this isn't a Trollcrusher thread, but actually an A&E thread, but...

On a whim I googled Trollcrusher, and found a site dedicated to it here
Home

and if you were to look at issue 20, you'd see my name listed by my 5 page article
TC20

and you can get an unreadable 75dpi scan - admittedly it is only my dragon picture which is legible in there, but overall not bad for 1980!

Cheers

Wow, cool.

Those scans are terrible. Though on that site they're asking about copyright, maybe they could work it out with whoever owns that to put up better scans?
