This is a stupid question...

It's not a stupid question. I've been on other boards that also have a reputation system that doesn't really do this. So what tends to happen is that groups tend to form and reputation wars begin. One group likes DC Comics and the other likes Marvel Comics. So the DC People will zap the Marvel people and the Marvel people will zap the DC people. Others will just zap you as another means to troll you and just be a nasty person. So I for one am glad yet frustrated at the same time that this forum doesn't allow for these kind of rep wars with things like forcing it to spread the reputation around.

So I could easily see how on EN World how the groups would tend to form. The loyalist grognards versus the rpgs "must be shiny and new" for example.

I get frustrated because sometimes I want to give a person some xp for more than one post in a row.

I would have to say that unless you spend all 10xp within the first 10 minutes of being logged in they chances are you are not a xp slut.

How ever, if one of those posts was one steepped in irony, geek humor, cultural references and innuendo like a post saying "I stab the troll Listerfiend in the face with my vicious dancing spear before vacating his cave." Then I don't know.

ENWorld doesn't allow posters to "zap" or give out negative reputation points. We're all positive sluts here.
