D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 Weapon question

...One other thing...

Psychic Weapon Master is unpublished material.

.....wonder why it never made it in the two psionic supplements...

Psychic Weapon Master = 2004

Complete Psionic = 2006

hmmm....

That is speculation on your part and a rather weak argument that is unlikely to convince anyone but yourself.

Also, being left out of the Complete Psionic probably did it a favor, as it has not been tainted by association.

In any case it is official WotC material. The Mind's Eye was intended to provide expanded options for the 3.5 XPH, sort of like how More Divinity was an online supplement for the Complete Divine. I do not think it was left out of the Complete Psionic for balance reasons so much as for the reason that they wanted to publish new material.

Ever glad to be of service in clarifying your misconceptions,
Dandu

Let me ask you again: Does not the Psychic Weapon Master gain an ability that stacks with Improved Critical despite Improved Critical stating that nothing can stack with it?

i find it equally amusing how you ignore it.

answer to your question:

bovd = 3.0 + 2002

phb = 3.5 + 2003

psychic weapon master = 3.5 + 2004

Ok, this is getting boring.

If phb was printed before psychic weapon master, then keen/improved critical was printed before psychic weapon master too.

This means that those who made the weapon master weren't dealing with unknown rules. This can't prove that psychic master isn't well made, can it?

I just don't get the argument.

Jimlock, I am aware of the date ranges you are posting. What I am saying is that they do not matter. By the rules, Disciple of Dispater works despite the change in wording of Improved Critcial due to a case of specific vs general.

You appear to be arguing against this based on dates with the implication that it was not the intent of the designers that Disciple of Dispater continue working like that, at which point I would like to remind you that unless your name is Sean K. Reynolds, Monte Cooke, or another WotC/TSR employee, you have no idea of their intentions.
